Why I chose a simple DE razor over the dazzling cartridge razor.

1. It's way too cheaper compared to multi blade cartridge razors.

2. Single blade does it. You don't want to have multiple blades gliding about your face. Less blades, the better.

3. Better for the environment! Cartridge razors have plastic as huge part of them. DE razor blades are all metal.

4. A long-term investment. Sure, a good DE razor would seem expensive when you purchase it. But you're paying for quality. Take good care of the razor and it'll last you a lifetime. Maybe you could pass it on to your children.

5. A closer shave. When you just have a single blade doing the work it cuts the whiskers cleaner and closer to the skin.

6. No razor bumps. When you use a cartridge razor with multiple blades. They glide over the shaved surface where there's no lubrication. That results in razor burn. With a DE razor you don't shave over the already shaved surface.

7. More hygienic. Multiple razor cartridges are a pain to clean. There's always hair stuck in some place that you can't quite remove. That leads to development of bacteria on the blade itself. DE razor blades and razors are easier to clean because you can separate the individual parts. Rest assured you'd have a clean razor ready to go for your next shave.
